SUMMARY:Sold Out -Illustration Workshop with TRATOS
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is a 2-part class that will help further your skill by exploring line-work\, form\, tone and value. With the first being a lesson with Juan Travieso about line-work and different technique to create lines. Followed by a lesson with Katerina Santos on form\, tone\, and value. Using a simple still life\, she will work from observation and show participants how to do a reductive tonal drawing using a charcoal ground and an erasure to create a variety of tones.\n\nMaterials\n\n White drawing paper 5 sheets\n Soft\, medium and hard charcoal pencils\n Compressed charcoal\n Kneaded eraser and/or regular drawing eraser\n X-Acto knife\n Chamois or multiple soft paper towels\n\nAbout the artists:\n\nTRATOS is an established collaboration between Miami based artists Juan Travieso and Katerina Santos.\n\nJuan Travieso is a professional Cuban artist based in Miami\, Fl. Travieso graduated from Art Center College of Art and Design with a BA in Illustration. Then went on to graduate from the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston\, Ma. He has exhibited with major galleries and museums around the world; and collaborated with some of the world’s leading brands.\n\nKaterina Santos is a Miami-based artist. Santos graduated with her BA in Painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia\, PA. Santos has shown in various museums and galleries in the United States. She has also worked on multiple large-scale projects with international brands and institutions.\n\n\n\nBeginner level. Program recommended for ages 16 and up. Capacity is limited and available on a first-come\, first-served basis. Please note there are no refunds or exchanges.
