DESCRIPTION:Julia Tuttle: An Artists’ Talk\nFolklife Gallery at HistoryMiami Museum — South Building\n\nMeet Pamela Palma\, director of PLY-Miami Fiber Art Collective\, and collective artists\, creators of Julia Tuttle – The Mural\, now on view in HMM’s Folklife Gallery. This interactive artist’s talk and presentation will share the backstory of the woman known as the “Mother of Miami” – who founded our city in 1896 – and how the mural’s artists crafted hundreds of leaves and flowers by hand using yarn\, thread\, and cloth. You’ll experience the hands-on process of crochet during the session’s Q&A\, too!\n\nThis is an in person\, Members-Only event.
