Argueta\, on a fascinating tour of one of the world’s largest and best-known Cuban neighborhoods outside of Cuba. Enjoy light bites as you walk down vibrant Calle Ocho. Discover the significance of the Ceiba Tree\, learn the art of cigar making\, and hear tales of performances by Billie Holiday and Count Basie at the Ball & Chain while you sip on a refreshing drink. \nTicket includes complimentary pass to HistoryMiami Museum. \n  \nREGISTER\n  \n\nFeatured Speaker:\nIngrid E. Argueta\nIngrid E. Argueta was born in Guatemala and immigrated to Miami when she was 7 years old. Although not a native Miamian\, she is a 305-er at heart. Ingrid has remained true to her indigenous roots and is passionate about Native American history and culture. She is best known for her eco-history tours of Miami’s historic sites\, neighborhoods\, and waterways. In her spare time\, Ingrid enjoys riding her bike through Shark Valley\, visiting cultural institutions\, and spending time with her three spoiled and well-fed cats.
