DESCRIPTION:Museum Members: $10\, Non-Members: $20\nMeet in front of Lummus Park\, 10th Street and Ocean Drive\, Miami Beach\, FL 33139 (across from The Clevelander)\nTake a walk with City Tours Guide John Bachay through one of Miami Beach’s most exciting and attractive neighborhoods\, South Beach’s Art Deco District. You will hear the stories of how this area\, once strictly farmland\, was transformed by the land boom of the 1920’s and again by the hurricane of 1926. Learn how the architectural revolution of the 1930’s defined this neighborhood as a lively vacation destination\, only to be turned in to a retirement community in the 1950’s and 60’s\, and back into the major entertainment destination that we see today. \nTicket includes complimentary pass to HistoryMiami Museum. \n  \nREGISTER\n  \n\nFeatured Speaker:\nJohn Bachay\nJohn is a native of Wisconsin but has resided in the Miami area for over 40 years. He has an undergraduate degree in history and has been involved with non-profit preservation organizations in Miami\, Miami Beach and Miami Shores both as a tour guide and board member.
